Lauren Conrad splits with 'DWTS' pro
DWTS dance pro Derek Hough and The Hills star Lauren Conrad always played coy about their relationship, but now it's no longer an issue. They had been spotted out multiple times over the past few months, much like Derek had been with rumored former girlfriend Cheryl Cole for some time. However, now Life & Style is breaking the news that Lauren and Derek have split.
According to Life & Style, Derek Hough is single once again. The magazine shares that the pair had been quietly dating for the past three months, but now Conrad has broken up with the DWTS dance pro. A friend of Lauren's shares, "Their relationship reached its peak. It was always casual." Another friend says that things were never serious between the two, even though they were having fun. The friend says, "She had fun with Derek - he used to send her cute texts and sing to her - but she always kept her options open."
Life & Style quotes a third friend, who says, "This was a rebound that wasn't going to last. Derek never thought it would, either." Fans know that the former star of The Hills split with long-time boyfriend Kyle Howard last June, and of course Derek Hough had been linked with Cheryl Cole off-and-on until earlier this year. Derek's fans would love to see him find his Ms. Right, but so far it just hasn't happened. Who do you think would be a fit for him?
