Kim K. spends big on Liz Taylor's jewelry

Kim K. spends big on Liz Taylor's jewelry
In the hopes of soaking up some of Elizabeth Taylor's Hollywood mystique via jewelry osmosis, Kim Kardashian snatched up three bracelets on day two of Taylor's Christie's auction. "She loved those bangles for a long time," said the bracelets' designer, Lorraine Schwartz. "She bought them because they're Elizabeth's." In fact, the reality star loved the baubles somuch that she paid $64,000 for them, despite their $8,000 estimated price. "If you have a piece of jade, the energy goes into the piece and you absorb the energy, so I can feel Elizabeth in the piece," Kim reasoned. "Elizabeth Taylor is iconic. She is my idol and my icon."
Kim might want to start sucking the Liz Taylor power outta those bracelets ASAP, because at least one of her Hollywood peers does not think she's exactly on the fast track to icon status herself. "The fact that the Kardashians could be more popular than a show like 'Mad Men' is disgusting," Jonah Hill announced recently. "It's a super disgusting part of our culture, but I still find it

funny to make a joke about it. I think it's funny and I definitely enjoy it in a making-fun-of-it sort of way, but where does the line sort of end? When do I stop making fun of it and become an actual fan?" Um. Probably at the point where you tell a national media outlet that it's "disgusting.

Tis the season to ... drink whiskey, especially if you're gettin' paid for it. The current face of Johnnie Walker Black, Christina Hendricks, appears in a new holiday-themed ad for the booze, in which she and her many curves appear to be attending a Christmas party at a friend's house while clutching a bottle of the stuff. After strutting past a trimmed tree and glowing fireplace with

Johnnie, the "Mad Men" star turns to a group of festive friends to share the 80 proof spirit with the ones she loves. Doesn't it just make ya warm inside?
With three-month-old Harper Seven on her hip and six-inch Louboutin heels on her feet, Victoria Beckham arrived feeling "super casual and comfy" to the photo shoot for her feature in Elle's January issue. And while the rest of us may be not exactly think of spiked heels as mundane daytime mommy footwear, bear in mind that Posh's sense of style has rocketed her to the top of her

field, earning fans across Hollywood and around the world as she launches dress line No. 2. "When we have Victoria’s stuff in the studio, it’s the first thing Cameron Diaz tries on," Rachel Zoe tells the mag. "But any woman would feel sexy in her dresses." Including Victoria herself, who's already able to squeeze into her own form-fitting designs just months after the birth of her daughter. "Oh, listen, I worked at it," says Victoria. "I was breast-feeding, so I ate super healthy, and I worked out seven days a week. I wanted to burn all my leggings — I was adamant that by the time I went to fashion week I would be able to wear clothes.
Just because you pay $27,000 a month in rent does not mean you can go around setting fire to your apartment or painting it funny colors. Courtney Love is learning this lesson the hard way, now that the owner of her West 10th Street abode in New York has filed to evict her. "I came to New York to see it and I was horrified by what she had done," the owner, Donna Lyon, told the Post.

"The walls that had been hand-painted and glazed were ruined, covered in damask wallpaper and ice-blue paint." Then there was that nasty damage done to the master bedroom when a candle Court left burning sent the curtains up in flames. Lyon also noted that Love is $54,000 behind on the year's $324,000 rent. Oops. A hearing is set for Dec. 21
